| Sumario: | Debido a que la presente investigación posee como ejes principales al diseño de tareas matemáticas escolares y el sentido estructural algebraico, se abordan algunas propuestas sobre la conceptualización de estos dos constructos. Seguidamente, se detallan los aspectos del currículum de matemáticas costarricense en los que se enfoca la investigación, así como la forma en la que entendemos la formación inicial de docentes de matemáticas y su vínculo con el desarrollo de capacidades algebraicas docentes, acentuando el sentido estructural. Abstract. Since the main axes of this research are the design of school mathematics tasks and algebraic structural sense, some proposals on the conceptualisation of these two constructs are addressed. Next, we detail the aspects of the Costa Rican mathematics curriculum on which the research focuses, as well as the way in which we understand the initial training of mathematics teachers and its link with the development of algebraic teaching skills, emphasising the structural sense.
